Mark Todd Giles, 53, of Salem, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014. He was a very talented and well respected steel fabricator and welding supervisor. Preceding him in death were his parents, Calvin Giles, Sr. and Norma Giles; and aunt, Altie Giles Mayo. His surviving family includes his children, Chris Giles and wife, Megan, and Kacey Giles; brother, Clay Giles and wife, Katherine; uncle, Bill Mayo; and 7 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will then be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel with Pastor Greg Mills officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
