I met Wanda at a volleyball game at the beginning of Jennifer's sophomore season. She was sitting in the same area of bleachers that I liked to sit and watch the games. I didn't know who she was or who she was rooting for, but she kept giving my daughter compliments, so I thought she was a PH supporter. Turns out she was for Salem but for some reason she was also a Jennifer supporter. I liked sitting with her, she was easy to talk to, but I never asked her name. Not much later her Grandson Tyler asked Jennifer out, but I did not know that he was her Grandson, until Homecoming when they took pictures at the duck pond in Salem. She was there and I told Shell- there's that sweet lady. I asked Jennifer what her name was and she told me NaNa. None of us there except maybe Tara had any clue that Tyler and Jennifer would be forever sweethearts like she and Danny were starting at such a young age. I ended up seeing her a lot more after that: volleyball, holidays, wedding baby shower, vacation, and I consider it a privilege getting to know her over the years both in person and even more deeply through all the fascinating things Jennifer told me about both her (NaNa) and Danny (PawPaw). I never knew of a more kind, more gentle, more innocent or more loving Soul as Wanda Witt. In my opinion the greatest thing she left behind as she is escorted to her eternal home by Jesus himself is an example of a Christian life with love overflowing seeing the best in others and being a loyal faithful servant until she breathed her last breath on earth. In a way she died an Enochian type of death- walking so closely with God until He suddenly without warning took her to be with Him forever. I will always admire hr for a life well lived. Sincerely, Mike.
