Obituary for Jeffrey Lee "Jeff" Green
Jeffrey (Jeff) Lee Green, 36, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his residence.
Jeff was born on May 30, 1983 in Salem and was a graduate of Glenvar High School. He loved hunting and fishing, playing videogames, and riding motorcycles. Simply put, he enjoyed life. Above all, he loved his boys and his parents. Jeff had the biggest heart, loved people, would help anyone, and would definitely give the last shirt off of his back.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Pauline Dale and William (Bill) Stuart Green; and cousin, Michael C. Blankenship, Jr.
His surviving family includes his mother, Linda Faye McCrady and husband, John, of Salem; father, Danny Lee Green of Salem; children, Andrew Lester, Lane Smith, and Jase Smith of Salem; step-siblings, Caitlin McCrady and Brode McCrady of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandparents, Doris and Woody Blankenship of Salem; cousin, Mikey D. Blankenship of Salem; uncle, Michael C. Blankenship and companion, Ellen, of Salem; numerous other cousins; special friends (the “G-Town boys”), Dustin Williams, Travis Ayers, Chad Phillips, Jarod Sword, Sherman Williams, Roy Crowe, Eric McPeak, and many many others; and special dog and cat he loved, GXR and M.J.
A period of visitation will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A private graveside service will take place at a later time at Sherwood Memorial Park.
