Obituary

Bonnie Sue McCormack, 71, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Salem Terrace at Harrogate.
Bonnie is remembered for being a devoted and loving mother, wife and grandmother. She loved all animals; and cherished her family, especially her grandson Matthew. She served as the Treasurer of Salem for two consecutive terms. Her loved ones she has left behind, have found comfort in knowing that she is not alone, and has been reunited with her son Marc McCormack in heaven.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Robert Carter and a son, Marc McCormack.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Carter; son, David McCormack; and grandson, Matthew McCormack.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from 6-8:00 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home and Crematory. A Committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park Abbey.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for their endless compassion, care, and support.

Over the years Bonnie and I's relationship grew from my co-worker to my boss and most importantly my dear friend! Such a dear friend that I considered her a second Mother! I loved her dearly and will miss her! I take comfort in knowing that she's no longer in pain and can now spread her wings in Heaven with her son, father and our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ! My Deepest Sympathy goes out to her Mother, David, Matthew, her dear friend Jerry and other family and friends

Bonnie and her parents moved into the house across the street from ours when I was a little girl. The Carters were wonderful neighbors! Bonnie was so beautiful and kind to me and did not just brush me off for being a kid. I remember being so fascinated by her frosty pearl white nail polish that she wore for her prom, and I wanted to be like her when I grew up.
Sometimes there are not enough words to express how sad we are to lose such a beautiful person. Deepest Sympathy from my family to Mrs. Carter, David and Matthew. Peace, Comfort and Love – you are in our thought and prayers.
