Obituary for Stephen Garden Moushegian
Stephen G. Moushegian, age 74 years old, of 220 North Broad Street in Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, 2019, at his home surrounded by his wife of 52 years, Ricki Moushegian; and his three children, Jeff Moushegian and wife, Tammy, Christie Shaps and husband, Michael, and Suzi Moushegian and husband, Carl Agren.
Steve was a highly decorated officer in the Army, and a dedicated father who loved military history, taking rides in the country, and debating about life and politics with his friends and family.
He was predeceased by his father, Lt. Col. Richard Moushegian; and his mother, Dorothy Crowe.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his siblings, Richard Moushegian, Carl Moushegian, and Dorothy Moushegian Gleason; grandchildren, Alex Moushegian, Blake Moushegian, Brad Moushegian, Ellie Shaps, Andy Lutes, and Katie Shaps.
A period of visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A memorial service will then begin at 2 p.m.
