Obituary for Lee Eric Lineberry

Lee Eric Lineberry, 60, of Salem, passed away on Valentine’s Day 2019 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Lee was predeceased by his parents, Lee Ray and Ruth Lockard Lineberry, as well as his brother, Danny Lineberry. He missed them all daily.

He is survived by his wife Annette Deaton Lineberry; his step-children, Britnee Shupe Taylor (Jeremy), Zachary Forrest Shupe, and Miranda Shupe Lewis (Cody); his aunt, June Lineberry Lockard; brother-in-law, Russell Deaton, Jr.; sister-in-law, Melanie Deaton Slaughter (Scott); three nephews, a host of cousins, and many friends. He is also survived by the true loves of his life, his grandchildren, Willow Grace Shupe, Lincoln Maxwell Lewis and Vivian LeeAnn Taylor.

Lee’s departure on Valentine’s Day reminds us that he had a most incredible love for those close to him. Lee enjoyed hard work and playing hard as well. He was an avid beekeeper, a Harley rider, a volunteer rescue squad member, was a private airplane pilot, and had a gift for anything mechanical. His happy place was Sunset Beach, Florida and he made many pilgrimages there to the little green cottage and its amazing soul rejuvenating powers. His favorite times were any family gatherings. All around knew that he was not ashamed of sharing photos of his grandchildren with all he encountered. He loved them so.

We miss Lee and are disappointed that he had to leave us so soon. We will always remember how much he loved his wife and their family. We look forward to our reunion in Heaven.
