Nan left wonderful memories which will keep her spirit alive forever. I remember her as the lovely lady who never forgot my name, played an amazing hand of bridge, boasted a long and wonderful marriage, and inspired us with her positive and happy attitude. Also – she and Hugh hired me as their baby-sitter! (Right, Lainy?) My heartfelt love and sympathy to the family.

Lainy, Ted, and Marilyn,
I am sure you each have many many wonderful memories of your mother (and your dad). She was such a beautiful and kind woman, who always was meticulous with regard to her appearance and in the things she did (which I always admired).

My parents loved their friendship with your parents and all the wonderful times they spent together, visiting, playing bridge, and just visiting one another! I recall one day when Mom took me with her to visit your Mother and I needed to use the bathroom. Unfortunately, I locked the door and then couldn't get it unlocked. Your mother was so diligent in getting me out -- never once expressing displeasure, but I was so embarrassed anyway!!

Please accept my deepest sympathies in the passing of Nan. I will always enjoy my wonderful memories of her, your Dad, and spending many hours in your home with y'all. My prayers and love are with each of you and your family members!

I am so so sorry for the loss of an amazing woman! Her love will live on in your hearts! Take peace in knowing she's holding hands with Jesus and the love of her life, Hugh!
