Rachel (Ridgeway) Howell, 67, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, James W. Ridgeway, beloved step-mother, Jean Ridgeway, and beloved mother, Amanda T. Bowles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Tina Horn Raines and husband, Walter, and Malinda Oliver Hall; grandchildren, Timothy Lafon and wife, Julia, Dustin Snider and wife, Tessa, Daniel Raines, and Allison Raines; great-grandson, Jaxon Lafon; siblings, Charlotte Hamlin, Sherry Tolbert, Rose Estes, and Vickie Campbell and husband, Jerry; special friend, Robert “Bob” Meador.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, with an hour prior visitation. A committal will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem.
