Wanda G. King, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018.

Mrs. King was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Jason Lee Grubbs and Louise Elizabeth Grubbs. She enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, modeling collectors' cars, singing in the church choir and taking care of her family. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Roanoke.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ford King; stepson, Larry D. King; and stepdaughter, Tiny King.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Lynn King; brother, Bill Grubbs; and close friends, Jerry Pollard and June Custer, as well as her church family.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2 pm at First Wesleyan Church in Roanoke with Pastor Herb Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service with visitation beginning at 12 pm.
