Corinna Sheppard  Witt
Corinna Sheppard Witt, 80, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.

She spent 20 years in the banking industry as a secretary. Her hobbies included visiting the beach and hiking in the mountains. She loved her children very much.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Troy and Pearl Sheppard.

Her surviving family includes her loving husband of 60 years, Morton Witt; children, Cheryl Boyd and husband, Mike, and Richard Witt and wife, Elena Cimpoiasu; sister, Coretta Smith; grandchildren, George and Julia Witt; and niece, Ginny Baxter.

The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their loving care.

A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2018, in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018, in the funeral home’s chapel with Pastor Tim Harvey officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Church Hill Cemetery, also in Salem.
