Elsie “Polly” Thelma Booth Frith, 90, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019.

She was a member of CommUNITY Church in Salem, and was a long time area resident.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Frith, Jr.; a daughter, Linda Frith Fullen; her brother, Charles Carr Booth, and a sister, Louise Thomason. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Hill and husband Don; two granddaughters, Valerie Fullen Garst and husband Barry, Carrie McCray Gentry and husband Will; five great-grandchildren, Erica Garst, Evan Garst, Luke Gentry, Allison Gentry and Grant Gentry, and her sister, Barbara Wray and her husband Wayne.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her Church family and the staff at the Oaks Assisted Living Center at Richfield for their loving care during the last 4 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. The Revs. Thomas McCracken and Dan Carawan will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
