Condolence From: Michele Dearing
Condolence: Carol and I grew up together and these pictures were classic of her life and loving family. I do recall she and her sister always being together. She was always kind and included others. Many years later, we reconnected through our work. Always a smile and a kind soul. Just yesterday I emailed Carol for lunch as I shared December had been so busy. I am shocked to say the least. It is so hard to remember it is not the end but a new beginning. May her family have extra blessings and strength today and for the upcoming months. Respectfully. Michele

Condolence: Carol was a fine lady.I was the lead service rep for Ikon office solutions for the last 12 years or so maybe longer ...supporting all the copiers, and printers that were used on campus.....Myself and my partner would fight over who would go when we received a service call because we enjoyed so much going to Hollins. Then we just both started going out there together. One of my favorite places was Rath Haus where Carols office was.....My heart is broken, god bless....

Condolence: I'm filled with sorrow, thinking of Carol's family's loss, of Hollins' loss, of the world's loss. Her bright energy, patience, good cheer, and amazing skills made life better for so many of us. I will--we will--keep those, and our memories of her.

Condolence: Carol and I have worked together almost 18 years now. She was my person. The one I could talk to and her listen and tell me everything would be okay. She was patient and Kind and even though we both have a stressful job she held it together. I am so going to miss those talks, laughs and just plain her! I am deeply saddened for for family and those of us that worked with her. She is tremendously missed

Condolence From: Virgene Mau
Condolence: As have so many expressed in their comments she sounded like a beautiful person inside and out. May your memories of your precious time together along with “the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) “who comforts us in all our trials” help you at this difficult time.

Condolence From: Todd Stafford
Condolence: I am sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I worked with Carol during my last year or so at Moore's. We kept in touch briefly through the Roanoke IT community. I am sorry that I haven't talked to her in some time. Whoever wrote the obituary did a great job describing her, and seeing her picture and that smile flooded my mind with good memories of her. May God give some peace and comfort in this difficult time.

Condolence: I am going to miss one of the most genuine and loving people I have ever met in my life while working with clients. Carol, you were an absolute joy to be around and someone that always rose to the occasion to help someone out. I can never thank you enough for the opportunity you gave me and friendships you help built to assist me in my career. I am going to miss seeing you and giving you a hug as I know that was something you enjoyed with your closest friends. You will be forever missed and know that you are now in a better place with eternal life. Godspeed.
