Lillie Ann Hanson, 77, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

She was born in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Earnest and Christine Crook Wills and had been an area resident all her life. She enjoyed doing needlework and crocheting, going to the beach and pool, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Hanson, who passed away in 2016, a brother and sister, and her son-in-law, Steve Flickinger.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Price and husband Charlie, and Missy Flickinger; two sons, Jim Hanson and wife Theresa, and Steve Hanson and spouse Rob Robbins; grandchildren, Clay and Kaylee Price, Cameron Flickinger and wife Ashley, Zachary Hanson, and Ashley Hensley; three great-grandchildren, Emma Price, Braylon Hensley and Charlotte Flickinger. Also surviving are her siblings, Junior Wills, Billy Wills, Butch Wills and wife Sandy, Doris Tyree, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care and love shown to Lillie during her illness.
