Condolence: Dear Don and family:

So sorry to read about Hilda's passing. Haven't seen her in a while, but always ran into her at Wal Mart in Salem.
Sympathy and prayers for you and your family.

Condolence: Aunt Hilda was my Great Aunt. My Grandmother's sister. She was more like a Grandma to me! She loved me and my kids SO much and always had a funny sassy story to tell me when I visited her. At my grandmother's (her sister's) funeral she sat next to me and held my hand and gave commentary as the Pastor spoke. I really loved that. Just like my mom, I have been going to her house every year for Christmas Eve Dinner since I was born. I have never missed a year. She always had multiple Christmas trees she in her house and would make us guess how many there were each year before making us go around and count them. I looked forward to Hilda's house every Christmas and continued the tradition with my kids. She would invite anyone that needed a "family " at Christmas time to join us. You could always find she and Don around town at Famous Anthony's or Wendy's or Wal-Mart. I will miss her stories and our conversations throughout the years. This year I will make sure to wear my fuzzy Christmas socks on Christmas Eve in honor of her.

Condolence: Hilda was my mom's (Ruth) little sister. She was my aunt, but she was only 10 years older than me. She told me that when I was born, I was "her baby." She always loved to have Christmas Eve dinner at her house for the whole family. I attended those dinners for as long as I can remember and I am now 66. She made the best fudge! Her house had a Christmas tree in every room at Christmas, even the bathroom! My kids, Ashley & Casey, loved Hilda and she was so kind to them and their kids. Great memories were made at Hilda & Don's house.
Hilda will truly be missed.
Julie
