The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lorene Slusher can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Bonnie Keenan & sisters
Condolence: We were so sorry to hear about your wife and mother, Lorene Slusher. We knew her through church at West Salem Baptist, seeing you and her at Hardees in Salem, and knowing our neighbor, your son. She was always so pleasant and encouraging. We know that losing a love one is so hard but may you find comfort in knowing that the Lord is right beside you so lean on our Lord.

Condolence: I remember Lorene quite well from our school days at Floyd High although she was a few years ahead of me. I graduated with Lorene's sister, Cora, and correspond regularly with Florence in Iowa. From this correspondence I have come to know that Lorene had a hard fight, but one that she fought courageously. I also know the deep love her husband had for her, and for their closeness as a family. Although I might be considered an "outsider" by some, I feel a special closeness to all of the Farley's, thus my expression of deepest sympathy to Wallace, the children and grandchildren, for their loss. I pray God will help you through the days ahead, and be with you all until you join Lorene some day in her new home.

Condolence: Uncle Wallace, Donald, & Becky and family

We are so sorry for your loss. This quote reminds us of what a wonderful wife and mother Aunt Lorene was-
"Grace was in all her steps, heaven in her eye,in every gesture, dignity and love."
