Dorothy Mae  Hunt (Corns)
Dorothy M. Hunt, age 96 of Salem, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born on Wednesday, October 26, 1921 to the late W.J. and Elizabeth M. Corns. Dorothy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Salem and was a faithful follower of Christ. She was a loving mother and adored by her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Phillip Hunt; brothers, Ernest, James, and Clifford Anderson; and her dog Smoky. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by her son Richard L. Hunt and special wife, Mary of Roanoke, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Roger Counts officiating and will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Salem, VA.

The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice Care, and Calvary Baptist Church along with Pastor Roger Counts for their prayers, cards, and support.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church P.O. Box 189 Salem, VA 24153.
