Obituary for Randy Carlyle Turner
Randy C. Turner, 59, of Salem, loving brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018.
Randy proudly served in the United States Navy, and then continued that service at the Hunter Holmes McGuire and Salem VA Veterans Medical Center where he was employed for over thirty years prior to retiring in 2015. He was extremely proud of all his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellis and Mabel Myers; his parents, Dennis Lee Turner, Sr. and Jeanette Myers Turner, and his loving partner, Mark.
He is survived by his brothers, Dennis L. Turner, Jr. and wife Marcia A. Turner, Richard A. Turner (Laura); sisters, Denise T. Farris, and Connie T. King (Matthew). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, and his dear friend, Paula Stone.
A memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. The family will receive friends beginning at 5 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Randy’s honor may be made to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3 2381 Roanoke Blvd. Salem, VA 24153.
