Mom was so cute - she hated the ocean and the sand...horrible stuff to her, but she could not wait each year to get to Topsail Island and bask in the sun and ocean views and yes, even to venture down to the sand for a minute!  It took an Act of Congress to get her down to the ocean and then she would play in the shallows just like a little girl!  Her favorite thing at the beach were the fishing boats.. which is what she is pointing at in this picture...she loved watching for the boats.  And every year as we would leave, she could hardly wait to come back again and finally announced this past beach trip in September that she could live at the beach!  As long as she didnt have to get out in the sand!
