Carolyn “Seymore” Lee, 72, of Salem and Roanoke, went to be with the lord on Friday, November 17, 2017.
She was a woman who loved to play games like Bingo, listen to1950’s music, watch movies, go to Myrtle Beach and Smith Mountain Lake, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and to dance, she even danced on two local television shows known as the Saturday Session and Top 10. Seymore was a fighter who dealt with a lot of health issues but never gave up. She loved people and had a sweet, kind and giving sense about her. She loved Jesus and thanked him everyday for the blessings in her life.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mattie Scruggs; parents, Oscar and Ola Moore; and former husband, Bill Lee.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Matt Lee (Tracy); daughter, Mandy Lee; grandchildren, Conner Lee and Savanna Lee; and sister, Priscilla Hedrick (Geary) and niece Darla and nephews Dean and Darren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the funeral home with Chaplain David Vanderpool officiating. An interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke.
