Obituary for Beverly Elaine Quinn (Grogan)

After a challenging two years of multiple aliments, our sweet wife, mother, and grandmother, Beverly Elaine Quinn, of Salem, left us on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

She leaves behind family and friends that she made a priority before herself in all that she did. She would always put others’ needs before her own even on her sickest days. We would like to take the time to thank the staff at Carilion SIC, who gave her excellent care during her brief stay with them, Jefferson Surgical staff, especially Dr. Munson and Dr. Conlee, who got to know her far too well, and all the medical staff that helped us through this trial.

She leaves behind her husband, Richard, of 59 years, children and grandchildren that absolutely adored her, as well as many others who loved our sweet Momma.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. God rest her dear soul in eternal Peace.

The family invites anyone who wants to attend her funeral Mass at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church located at 631 North Jefferson Street in Roanoke, Va. 24016. A small reception will follow.

Because Bev’s greatest love in life was feeding her family, we ask that in lieu of flowers you donate to a charity that feeds the hungry. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.

“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
