Condolence: Lin, Please accept my condolences in the loss of your father. I so enjoyed my visit with the two of you at Mill Mountain Coffee and Tea. It seems like just a few months ago. He had such enthusiastic energy, a wonderful smile, and sincere interest in others. That visit made my day and remains such a nice memory. I loved hearing him speak about your daughters, his activities with the church, and his pride at having an ordained granddaughter. My sympathy and best wishes to you. Ginny Moorman Gotlieb

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to the Snead family on the passing of George. I have many fond memories sitting and talking with George at the German Club tailgates before and after Virginia Tech football games. He loved Virginia Tech football and the German Club and was always interested in everyone and treated all as special people. He will be missed. Farewell good and faithful servant. You have acquitted yourself well during your lifetime.

Condolence: He was one of my dad's best friends, became the best of friends and mentor to me for 40 years, and loved my family unconditionally!
VPI, Hokie sports, German Club and a whole lot of history few "younger" folks get a chance to hear. We laughed and we cried together...what a treasure. I miss him terribly!

Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to the family. I only knew Mr. Snead a short time, and in that time I came to care for him deeply. He greeted me each morning with a smile and a hug. He always had something positive to say and could make my day instantly. I know he is with Jesus, smiling and trying to convince Him to be a Virginia Tech fan too! I will miss him dearly!

Condolence: Deepest sympathy for your loss. I was a long time friend of George and it was an honor to have him as a friend. A true gentlemen, and a delightful partner in fly fishing and golf. George was truly a part of the great generation-loyal, supportive and wise in the ways of life. We have lost a true patriot and he will be missed by his many friends. Rest in Peace my good friend--you made the world a better place.

Condolence: George was a member of the greatest generation....not only for his military accomplishments, but also for his civilian achievements. He is an example of the caliber of people who set Salem apart from 'ordinary' communities. He was always positive, always humble, and always willing to make a difference. Salem will miss George Snead....I would say 'Rest in Peace', but I know that George is already on a 'committee' in Heaven.

Condolence: Old Timer was a very wise, funny man, always gave credit were it was due. He loved his family and friends deeply. The best story teller I ever knew. He was a hero in more ways than one. We love and miss him deeply
