Dewey G. Mooney, 88, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2016. Dewey was born on March 30, 1928 to the late Garfield and Flora Mooney. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Virginia S. Mooney; son, Stacey Mooney; sister, Doris Robbins; grandchildren, David Mooney (Julie), Chase Mooney (Jessica), and Julia Mooney; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Jenna, and Jadyn. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Salem Church of Christ with Senior Minister Eric Evans officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The internment will follow at Newbern Cemetery in Pulaski, Va. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Salem Church Of Christ for their great memories and fellowship throughout the years. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
