Alfred Jacob "PD"  Dewease Jr.
Alfred Jacob “PD” Dewease, Jr., 62, of Craig County, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Dewease and Geneva Martha Dewease; and son, Christopher Jacob Dewease.
PD was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed gardening, and was a skilled carpenter. He was a 40 year resident of Craig County. He loved his dogs and his truck, which he was especially proud of.
Family left to cherish his memory include his wife, Margaret Dewease, of Catawba; step-daughters, Michelle Delby and husband Jason and Marie Jamison, all of Salem; brothers, Dale Dewease and Marvin Dewease, both of Salem; sister, Arlee Boyd, of Roanoke; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Garett Delby and Maraya Gray; and special friend, Ed Sarver.
A memorial service to honor PD’s life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1 pm in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
