Obituary for Jodi Lynn Flinchum (Boone)
Jodi Lynn (Boone) Flinchum, 35, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 11, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
She served her country in the United States Air Force as a Public Health Journeyman and Aeromedical Apprentice. She continued to serve fellow veterans as a nurse at the Salem VA Medical Center. Jodi also sang on the worship team at the Salem Church of Christ, and always blessed others with her gift of music.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Robert (Bob) and Lois Taliaferro, and Harry Sr. and Annie Boone; her aunts and uncles, James E. Taliaferro, Ruth Altis, Sandy B. Dunman, Daniel and Mildred Boone, and Harry Jr. and Phyllis Boone.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ben Flinchum; daughter, Aaliyah Wilson; son, Gabriel Flinchum; parents, Charles and Linda Boone; brother, Victor C. Boone; in-laws, Mike and Debbie Flinchum and Donnie and Marcie Atkins; niece and nephew, Makenna and Ian Atkins; and aunts and uncles, Arthur and Barbara Barnhart, Kenny and Patricia Weaver, Pete and Regina Stamper, Rixine Taliaferro, Jerry and Lorna Bragg, James C. Boone, William and Sylvia Boone, Richard and Leanne Boone, Roger and Elaine Boone, David A. Boone, Daniel Dunman, and Robert Altis. Others grieving Jodi’s loss are her many loving cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Salem Church of Christ. A celebration of life service will then follow at 5 p.m. with Mr. Eric Evans and Mr. Taylor Plott officiating.
