Obituary for Randolph Otis Agee

Randolph Otis Agee, 92, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Golden Living Centers in Clifton Forge, Va. He was born on December 24, 1922 in Salem, Va. to the late Charles Otha and Lula Elma Thomas Agee.

Mr. Agee retired from Kroger Warehouse in 1983 with 25 years of faithful service. He was a member of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps), and was an avid bowler, fisherman, and sometimes golfer. Above all, he will always be remembered as a devoted husband and father! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Kelley Agee; 4 brothers, 5 sisters and a great-grandson, Justin Smith.

Family remaining to cherish his memory includes his children, Randall C. Agee and wife, Laura, and Deborah A. Reedy and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Shawn Reedy and wife Sylvia, Kelley Robertson and husband, Barry, and Daniel Clay Agee; 6 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center for the care given to Mr. Agee during his stay.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton.
